iPhone 20 Rumours: Apple’s Truly Full-Screen iPhone for the 20th Anniversary

Celebrating 20 Years of iPhone: The Truly Full-Screen iPhone 20 May Be Coming

According to recent reports from overseas media, Apple is preparing a special iPhone model to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original iPhone.
This device, widely referred to as iPhone 20, is expected to launch in Q3 2027 and could feature a truly full-screen design — with no visible cutouts on the front at all.

If these rumours prove accurate, iPhone 20 could represent one of the most significant design shifts in iPhone history.

The last time Apple reshaped the smartphone industry was with iPhone X, released for the 10th anniversary of the iPhone. By removing the Home button and introducing Face ID, Apple set a new design standard that the entire industry followed.

Now, as Apple approaches the 20-year milestone, expectations are high once again. Reports suggest Apple may hide both the front-facing camera and Face ID components beneath the display, finally delivering a true edge-to-edge iPhone experience.

While under-display camera technology has appeared on some Android devices, Apple is known for prioritising maturity and user experience over being first. If Apple can combine a flawless under-display Face ID system with uncompromised camera quality and seamless iOS integration, iPhone 20 could once again redefine what a premium smartphone should be.
